the new year already being here is crazy, actually. i'm feeling like there's a lot to look forward to in this year, though. in march, me and my partner will be celebrating 3 wonderful years together. in may, i'll finally graduate high school! and somewhere in the fall time i'll be starting college. this june(? maybe July, I don't remember) will be my site's second anniversary! but, there's still a lot of time inbetween then and now. let's do a small recap of my 2024.

at the beginning of last year, I was forunate enough to go to State Solo and Ensemble and receive a gold medal for my performance. Then, I survived through track season and had a super uneventful summer. Grand Fest happened! I finally started senior year (i hate school so it's been pretty miserable so far).. I started BG3 and STILL haven't finished it. These were some of the highlights, since my memory is pretty bad and this is also some stuff that I'm doing right now.

some things that I want to do in 2025 (not exactly resolutions, since if I call it a resolution then it'll feel more typical if I just have these things fade into obscurity) are:

learn to sew on a machine (and make stuff for the ren faire)
ace my college audition!
make some college friends
play D&D more
be kinder to myself

so we'll see how well this goes as the year goes on. as for my site, I just kinda want to do small updates more. i'm finding myself updating about once a month (which is fine), and it makes my website seem less personal, idk. here's another bulleted list though

make more shrines!!!
make a small journal or just write more blogposts
one of those minimalistic "mini-sites" like nerucom or june's new layout would probably do me some good, so i'd like to experiment with that
...art page?? maybe. probably not though
a GAMELOG. i have taken so many screenshots in bg3 and in splatoon and i need some place to put them all.

and then my winter break isn't over until january 6, so if anyone is wanting to play some SPLATOON PLEASE message me on discord and i 100% will.
