everything is changing
posted october 29, 2024hello again, beautiful website people. long time no see!! (it's been about a month. here are my updates!)
first of all, i just want to say that if you have put something in my chatbox or guestbook during my hiatus i so totally appreciate you. i still check up on my site and my friends sites even when i'm not updating and i see all of those comments a couple days after they're put there if not the day of. i know a lot of the people in those forms don't really know me and just see my site, but i am still touched that people go out of their way to give a compliment and give me well wishes. thank you!
so onto the actual topic of my RECAP BLOG!
the last time i posted a blog was september 11th and my life has calmed down SIGNIFICANTLY. my last ever volleyball season ended just around two weeks ago, so i've found myself with a lot more free time. for those who don't know, volleyball isn't my favorite thing ever. i've been playing for 10 years (literally!) and i've found myself having a love-hate relationship with the game. but that's not the topic of this blog so we will move on lmao. in my newfound freetime, i've been playing a lot of splatoon and STILL planning for my D&D campaign! we just had our third session last friday and are planning to have another session on Halloween! (and yes, i am making them dress up haha.)
also over the past month has been a LOT of college stuff. i don't remember if i put this in my last post or not, but I was accepted into my first-choice college. i want to major in Music Education in the instrumental track, so I put in my application for the music department at said college and was emailed by the director of the department. This was very exciting for me, and I was able to schedule a Zoom meeting with her and talk about what i wanted out of college and also to try and figure out a an audition date. We decided that my audition will be in March. This sets me up for available scholarships and also entry into my major and the department.
That emailing stuff kept up for a while until I was finally able to visit last Wednesday. Let me tell you all, it was freakin awesome. I loved it so much, and was able to completely tour the building where the majority of my classes would be, as well as sit in on a class and have lunch with some current students. I was lucky enough to even be able to have a private lesson with their trumpet professor. I was super nervous, since that was my first private lesson ever, but it all turned out okay. The professor helped me through some rough spots in my playing and in some places of my audition pieces. I am so so excited for college.
so now what i have to look forward to is my bowling season. i still have to get some information about when it's supposed to start and everything, but i'm lucky enough to do bowling and then have the rest of my time to do whatever i want over the winter. after that, it's track season!! i love track.
